Residential Life Student Workers serve as positive and professional representatives of the Office of Residential Life. Acting as an ambassadors to the WashU community, Residential Life Student Workers help maintain a welcoming, student-focused, and accessible office environment. They are often the first point of contact for students, families, campus partners, and other visitors to Residential Life. Residential Life Student Workers support a variety of office-related functions and responsibilities and are expected to work independently while handling sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

| Serve as a first point of contact by greeting visitors and guests to Residential Life offices, answering incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, responding to general inquiries, and accurately documenting and relaying messages to appropriate staff members in a timely fashion. |
| Support key distribution, access requests, and lockout assistance by following established security protocols, verifying identity as required, and documenting transactions in applicable systems. |
| Monitoring student printers/copiers located within residence halls and apartments to ensure paper and basic supplies are replenished to support student printing and copying needs. |
| Assisting Residential Life staff with clerical tasks such as distributing mail to Residential Life staff, delivering and picking up items from campus, equipment checkout, and other tasks. |
| Special projects as assigned by Residential Life staff. |
