WashU Residential Life will be providing summer housing to undergraduate students enrolled in Summer Session courses.
Eligibility
All undergraduate students enrolled in a Summer Session course are eligible to apply for Summer Housing. If you are a graduate student or someone needing short term Summer Housing, please reach out to Conference Services.

How to Apply
The housing application will be completed through your WashU Housing Portal. The WashU Housing Portal is only accessible to current undergraduate students.
Summer Housing Option
Summer School students will be housed in a residence hall located on the South 40.
Summer Housing Rate
The Summer Housing Rate is $38.50 per night. Each resident is charged per night stayed.
Summer Dining
- Dining is available in the Danforth University Center.
- Campus dining accepts credit and debit cards, meal points or Bear Bucks, which can be added via your account if you’re a WashU student.
Summer Parking
Summer parking passes will only be permitted to park in their designated garages/lots. Learn more about summer parking passes at Parking and Transportation.

No, summer housing is randomly assigned; we can’t make any exceptions unless necessary.
WashU does not provide any storage. Check out uTruck… for your moving and storage needs.
If you need to stay longer than Residential Life’s move-out, you will need to request transition housing on Step 4 of your Summer Housing application within the Housing Portal.
Shuttles will be operating from Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
