Qualifications

Must be a full-time graduate student through the end of the 2025-2026 academic year
Must be able to work a minimum of 5 hours during traditional business hours each week
Must be available to work evening and weekend hours
Possess strong organizational and administrative skills
Respect for and commitment to student development and student initiatives
A commitment to and desire to learn about racial and social justice
ARCD Only: Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to drive departmental vehicle
ARCD Only: Must live in the on-campus apartment provided as part of the compensation package
ARCD Only: Participate in the on-call duty rotation and respond to facilities issues after serving the department for at least one semester

Compensation

Graduate Fellows

Graduate Fellows will receive $15.25 per hour averaging 15 hours a week for 44 weeks paid over a 10 month period (August – May), in addition to a 600 point meal plan (300 points/semester). Housing is not included. 

ARCDs

Assistant Residential Community Directors will receive $15.25/hour averaging 19 hours a week for 44 weeks paid over a 10 month period (August – May), in addition to a 600 point meal plan (300 points/semester) and a furnished efficiency apartment.
ARCDs must live in the provided on-campus apartment.

Graduate Fellow for Residential Engagement

The Residential Engagement Graduate Fellow is a graduate student who works in close collaboration with and is supervised by the Coordinator for Residential Student Engagement (CRL) to support residential student engagement initiatives through advising, program planning and leadership development. Graduate Fellows are a valuable member of Residential Life, supporting programming for all residential students and providing support to the various residential student leaders.

Graduate Fellow/Assistant Residential College Director 

The Assistant Residential Community Director is a graduate student who works in close collaboration with and is supervised by the Residential Community Director (RCD) by enhancing the quality of life for residential students through supervising Resident Advisors (RAs), developing programs which promote learning and foster an inclusive community, and providing support on departmental initiatives. 

Graduate Fellow for Housing Assignments

The Graduate Fellow for Housing Assignments works in conjunction with members of the Residential Life Operations and Residential Education teams to ensure student satisfaction in housing. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Housing Assignments, the GF will manage room swap and change requests through the Housing Portal, process Emotional Support Animal applications, assist with administrative tasks and key packet creation, communicate with stakeholders, and conduct walkthroughs of vacated spaces.

Graduate Fellow for Marketing & Communications

The Graduate Fellow for Marketing & Communications is a graduate student in the Office of Residential Life responsible for the co-administration of the department’s marketing and communications plan. The Marketing & Communications Grad Fellow works with Residential Life staff in the development and implementation of recruitment, communication, marketing, and social media functions that support departmental occupancy and retention goals.

Graduate Fellow for Residential Life Facilities

The Graduate Fellow for Residential Life Facilities is a graduate student in the Office of Residential Life responsible for supporting the facilities needs of our department. Residential Life’s Facilities portfolio has 58 buildings and over 2.1 million square feet. Primarily this Graduate Fellow will work on a variety of projects concerning all facilities work orders, custodial concerns, opening & closing, and our Fraternity Chapter Houses.
