Built in 1963 originally as “L Hall,” the Thomas G. Rutledge House was dedicated in 1965. The house contains suites for first year students. Each suite features a common room, bathroom, and balcony. Rutledge is a part of the Shanedling, Dauten, & Rutledge Residential Community. Today, our Residential Community is affectionately known as The JK and L, or just JKL

Rutledge Hall consists of traditional six-person suites each having its own bathroom. Each student will have a: XL twin bed frame and accompanying mattress; a three drawer dresser; and a computer desk and chair. The suite is carpeted and a shower curtain is provided.

JKL provides a kitchen on the main floor of Rutledge Hall, has available music practice rooms, study spaces, a main computer lab, laundry facilities, and spacious common spaces. Students will be responsible for providing their personal items and toiletries.
