One of three low-rise buildings constructed in 1963, the Donald Shanedling House stands west of Dauten House and Rutledge House. In 1973, the building was renamed from Hall “J” to the Donald Shanedling House. In appreciation for Mrs. Arthur Groman’s generous financial support, the building was named in honor of her late husband, Donald. Shanedling is a part of the Shanedling, Dauten, & Rutledge Residential Community, commonly known as JKL.
Shanedling Hall consists of traditional six-person suites each having its own bathroom. Each student will have a: XL twin bed frame and accompanying mattress; a three drawer dresser; and a computer desk and chair. The suite is carpeted and a shower curtain is provided.
Shanedling Hall residents can access a full kitchen on the lower level of Dauten Hall, has available music practice rooms, study spaces, a main computer lab, and spacious common spaces. Students will be responsible for providing their personal items and toiletries.
